The first thing that comes to mind is history, the world wars and mustard gas. Even the windmills in the far back seem like crosses due to the position of the fins. However the flatness of the yellow cloud in sections, as well as the yellow bar in the tree line detract from the scale of shadows that makes this image effective. There seems as though there may have been the opportunity for an S composition however it is obscured by the thickness of the yellow cloud. Where the cloud overlaps the sky the colours work very well, with the clouds tinting a hot colour that contrasts nicely with the yellow.
