I don't usually give all 5's in critiques, but this picture has a certain je ne sais quoi that I think deems it worthy.

First off, this picture gives off a very strong vibe of summer evenings, something that I, along with many other people, long for. It strikes a certain emotional chord, bringing back those memories.

Second, the way this picture is shot makes it really jump out at you. I saw the thumbnail, and literally went "WTF?" just because of how weird it looked, and when I saw the full picture, I literally went "OMGAWESOME." It makes you think outside of the norm, and it takes a sec to figure out. This definitely makes it stand out.

I like, that you used long shadows in this genre, cause this method is more common for the still-life.

Perfect sunny emphasis on the main characters of the photo. And even carelessly scattered debris makes sense some atmosphere of the boy's childhood.

After that I asked myself: "does the shadows deceive me?"

I want to take them by the hand and walk together towards the spring.)))

Most of all people embrace the things superficially.
I'm glad that there are people who able to see and feel another nature of the material world (:
